ABOUT
Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to check out my site.
After graduating from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in 2011, I got my first taste of the games industry by writing, reporting, editing, and interviewing industry personnel as a volunteer at Pixelitis, an independent games blog. In 2014, I also wrote and published content for Gameranx and Video Game Music Online, including interviews with game composers Hitoshi Sakimoto (Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter, Final Fantasy XII), Grant Kirkhope (Goldeneye 007, Banjo-Kazooie), and Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy series).
In December 2015, I joined Capcom USA as an entry-level Customer Service Representative. In 2018, I transferred to the Product Operations (now Business Operations) department, first as an Associate Project Manager, and then as a Submissions Manager, where I continued to manage the company's product planning dashboard and support the USA, Europe, and Japan branches with product operations and first-party submissions-related requests. I was the liaison between Capcom and ESRB, ensuring all Capcom marketing and packaging materials went through the appropriate ARC review and approval, and submitted Capcom games to the ESRB for a rating.
In June 2024, I joined 2K Vegas as an Associate Release Manager, which was later rebranded as Associate Release Operations Manager. At 2K, I manage day-to-day game release task requests for the QA, Production, and Marketing teams. This work includes actioning on the product release checklist, communicating platform-specific SLAs to key stakeholders, frequent first-party communication, waiver submissions and tracking, game, DLC, and patch build uploads, submissions, and scheduling, and storefront configuration.
I've put together operational SKU plans for upcoming 2K products and managed the launch of NBA 2K25 and its post-launch seasonal content across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. I've also configured and supported the pre-order launch of Mafia: The Old Country on PlayStation 5, Steam, and Xbox Series X/S and managed the launch of NBA 2K26 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
My other previous gigs include music consultationfor Brave Wave Music, as well as writing and editing for Video Game Music Online, Pixelitis and Gameranx. I also run social media fan pages for Breath of Fire, a Capcom-produced RPG series.
When not taking part in release and product operations, you might see me playing drums with my band Collision Brothers in San Francisco and Pacifica. I’ve also collaborated with artists on videogame remix albums and performed my own game music drum cover projects under the title "VGdrum".
Whether you're browsing my site to peruse my work samples, or you’re wanting to get in touch with me and do some video game music remixes, please don't hesitate to contact me via the handy contact form. Thanks again for your time!
Best,
Patrick Kulikowski
